Give Young Girls and Women the Gift of Dreaming This Summer

“Hear me as a woman.

Have me as your sister.

On purpled battlefield breaking day,

So I might say our victory is just beginning,

See me as change,

Say I am movement,

That I am the year,

and I am the era

of the women.”

– Amanda Gorman, National Youth Poet Laureate

FaithBridge Portland proudly presents the Summer Dreamin’ Fundraising Program, an integral part of our Brown Girl Brave Girl Program and Women's Program. From August 2-30, 2023, we are on a mission to reach girls aged 12 to 17 and adult Black and Brown women, offering them a sacred space to process, heal, and rise above their trauma.

We invite you to join us in this essential work through your donations.

Your contribution makes a difference.

Join us in championing these brave girls and women. By donating, you're not only supporting their healing journey but also igniting their potential and resilience.

What You're Supporting

The summer break offers a golden opportunity – a moment for our participants to discover genuine, heartfelt healing paths.

They're not just any girls or women. They're warriors. Many have faced gun violence, gang confrontations, and home upheavals. Their trauma runs deep, but our commitment to uplifting them runs even deeper.

Under the nurturing umbrella of our Brown Girl Brave Girl Program and our Women's Program, we instill hope, mentorship, and the promise of a brighter future.

As we all know, a better tomorrow starts with a dream today. We need your support so we can teach these girls and women that they can dream joyfully again.

About FaithBridge Portland

We are a non-profit organization that provides opportunities for women emerging from trauma and/or life transition to reconnect with their faith in a deep and life-transforming way. Our model is culturally specific and designed to facilitate the full expression of healing through faith. Women of any faith or no faith at all are welcome.

FaithBridge Portland was founded in 2019 by Lisa Saunders, a Pastor and Certified Peer Support Specialist. She serves as our organization’s executive director and lead program facilitator.

The young girls and women we minister to deserve to feel happy and whole. By guiding these girls through restoring their hope and belief in themselves, we strengthen and empower them. We allow them to dream. Strong and empowered females with dreams of their own will grow up to become community leaders and builders of the foundation of a better world.

Join us in turning these girls’ and women's dreams into reality.
